Empty states with real messages and a composer that handles long drafts.

Nothing got a big launch this week, and yet half the app feels nicer to use. Empty pages stopped being empty. The composer stopped fighting you on long drafts. Member tables in your workspace’s settings stopped flickering.

Empty states everywhere they were missing

Deleted conversations, deleted people, missing circles, search with no recent queries - they all used to show an infinite spinner, a broken composer, or a crash report. Every dead end now shows you an explicit message that explains what’s going on and gets you back to somewhere useful.

A composer that doesn’t fight long drafts

Opening a long draft in the conversation composer used to be an unscrollable wall. The body is now an area with a scrollbar that shows up when needed, so you can review what you wrote before sending it without using Cmd+Plus hacks.

Circle creation, less surprising

  • Slug already taken? The “Taken” hint shows up immediately and the button for creating it stays disabled, instead of letting you click and showing you an error.

  • No banner image? Used to cause errors sometimes. Circles without banners now create normally and show up in search and the sidebar like everything else.

Smaller corners, also tidied

  • When signing in, the screen where you enter your OTP will auto-focus and select the first code box when it loads, so you can paste/start typing immediately.

  • Deleting a post or circle should be much faster.

  • The sidebar will no longer flicker and show you a “0” badge when you first open the app.

  • The member table and popover for inviting more will now load data without sometimes breaking.
