Your browser title counts everything that wants your attention. Workspace profiles split off.

A smarter window title and a faster conversation list.

Quieter week when it comes to new features, busy week behind the scenes. We rewired the browser title to reflect how much attention the app actually wants from you. Conversations and DMs render noticeably faster. And workspace profiles split off from personal profiles.

The window title actually represents your attention.

The browser tab now counts unread direct messages on top of unread notifications. If you have Reintersect minimised and four DMs and three notifications come in, you see the real total - not just the notifications. The number in your taskbar is the number of things waiting for you.

Workspace profiles, split off.

Your personal profile and your workspace-specific profile are now separate. Your name, email, and profile image stay with you across every workspace; the workspace subtitle is unique to each one. Edit either independently in settings. The workspace subtitle autosaves as you type, with a saving loader and an inline error if anything fails.

Conversations and DMs render much faster.

Conversations, replies, and direct messages now use a new renderer that can intelligently decide whether or not to use complex interactive components or simple static elements. Until now, every rendered conversation/reply/DM fired up our full composer just to display the content. Thatโ€™s gone. Long lists of conversation previews, busy DMs, threads with lots of replies - all render much faster as a result.

While we were in there.

  • Profile fields get automatically trimmed - first name, last name, email, subtitle. Whitespace-only names are now rejected.
