Files in every conversation. Circles that connect the whole workspace. And a fix for that thing that happens when you paste from a Google Doc.

A real release: attachments, public circles, and a lot of polish.

Two big things landed this week. First: you can attach files and images anywhere things happen - conversations, replies, sub-replies, DMs. Second: circles can be public - flip one open and the whole workspace joins automatically.

Attachments, everywhere.

Paste, drag-drop, or click the paperclip in any composer. Files keep their real names, including the unusual ones. They load on demand instead of bloating the document, and they clean themselves up when you delete the thing they're attached to.

Public circles, with an easier way to manage them.

Every circle used to be invite-only. From this week, a circle marked Public auto-joins every member of the workspace. New workspaces also get a "General" public circle out of the box, so nobody starts staring at an empty sidebar.

  • Flip visibility any time. The dialog warns which members will be removed if you go private.

  • Leave Circle hands ownership to the next admin - or the oldest member - if the owner walks away.

  • Add Members invites several people at once with type-ahead search across the workspace.

  • The "..." menu on every circle header puts Subscribe, Add Members, Settings, and Leave one click away.

Pasting from documents with no hassle, finally.

Paste a styled paragraph from a Google Doc and watch it inherit a random gray font and a layout that won't die. Not anymore.

We strip source-specific junk - Google Docs span IDs, Word Mso* classes, even Granola's data attributes - and keep only the formatting that belongs.

And while weโ€™re at it.

  • Top commenter avatars on posts update reliably within a minute when someone new joins a thread.

  • Promoting someone to Owner asks you to confirm and demotes you to Admin in the same step.

  • Conversations that fail to send no longer leave the composer stuck on "loading" - you get a toast and a chance to fix it.

  • Empty conversations, comments, and DMs are rejected up front instead of failing in odd ways later.
